Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team on a per‑diem basis. As a Per Diem Hospitalist APP, you’ll deliver safe, timely, compassionate care while working alongside experienced physicians and a collaborative clinical team. This role allows you to use your full clinical skill set while enjoying autonomy, teamwork, and the day‑to‑day variety that hospital medicine offers.
What You’ll Do
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in coordination with Hospitalist physicians.
Respond to nursing staff calls and manage changes in patient condition.
Order and interpret labs, tests, and imaging.
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
Complete patient discharges, including summaries and follow‑up plans.
Support patient flow in both the Emergency Department and inpatient units.
What You Bring
Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Experience in Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or acute care (preferred).
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
Clear, compassionate communication skills.

Master’s or Doctorate degree required.
Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State (or have the ability to obtain licensure).
