Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our home care team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to Clients in a home setting. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring Client health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all Clients. The Caregiver will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality Client care.
Assist Clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Provide emotional support and companionship to Clients. Assist with mobility and transfers. Maintain a clean and safe environment for Clients by adhering to infection control protocols. Document Client care activities accurately. Communicate effectively with Clients, families, and healthcare team members regarding Client needs and changes in condition. Support Clients with medication reminders. Participate in training programs to enhance skills in areas such as dementia care, hospice care, and critical care experience. Skills Candidates should possess a combination of required and preferred skills to excel in this role: CPR and First Aid certification Experience in critical care settings or long-term care environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations. Familiarity with caregiving techniques for individuals with developmental disabilities or Alzheimer’s disease. Experience working in various healthcare settings which can include hospitals, outpatient clinics, home care, geriatrics, or behavioral health environments. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds. Basic life support certification is preferred.
