About the Role

If you have a passion for working with abused and neglected children to help them find a forever home, the Spectrum Child and Family Services’ Adoption Specialist position is for you. Adoption Specialists partner with individuals seeking to open their homes and hearts to welcome children who have experienced trauma. This role offers you the opportunity to share your unique talents in life-changing ways and to grow and develop professionally, regardless of your social service journey.

We are looking for great communicators who understand teams and who are committed to excellence. Required training and supportive leadership will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Child Welfare Training Institute training provided.

Spectrum Child and Family Services supports our community’s children and teens who are delinquent, have been neglected/abused or abandoned, are medically fragile, have multiple handicaps, are dual-diagnosed, and are behaviorally and/or emotionally impaired. Our programs support a population with constantly changing needs, and our goal is to strengthen and empower the families so they become self-sufficient, stable, and competent.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field is required. Two years of child welfare experience is preferred, and candidates must pass a background screening.
