The Lakewood Courtyard, a Spring Oak Senior Living Community is looking for a warm, patient, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team. This position will support the Activities Department with daily programming throughout the community, with a focus on engaging residents who may have memory loss, dementia, or other cognitive changes and benefit from additional encouragement. Assist with daily activities and resident engagement throughout the community Encourage residents to attend and participate in programs through room visits and friendly reminders Provide support during group activities so residents feel included and successful Lead simple small-group or one-on-one programs for residents who benefit from a more personalized approach Work with the Activities Director and Nursing team to identify residents who may benefit from additional engagement Support a positive, caring, and welcoming environment for residents
Experience as an Activities Assistant, Activity Aide, CNA, caregiver, or similar role in senior living, assisted living, or memory care is strongly preferred Experience working with residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory loss, or other cognitive changes preferred Dementia care certification preferred, such as Certified Dementia Practitioner, but not required Patient, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable engaging residents one-on-one and in small groups Ability to work well with the Activities Director, Nursing team, and other community staff
\n $16 - $17 an hour \n The Lakewood Courtyard is looking for someone who enjoys working with seniors and wants to help residents stay active, engaged, and connected.
Preferred experience as an Activities Assistant, CNA, or caregiver in senior living or memory care settings. A Dementia care certification is preferred but not required.
