- No on-call; weekends required as needed; schedule flexibility is required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory care for adult ICU, adult and pediatric general units as assigned, including assessment, treatment planning, and execution of therapy per physician orders and protocol.
- Manage ventilated patients and airway care, including ventilator adjustments, airway suctioning, and related monitoring; ensure patient safety and timely response to changes in condition.
- Administer inhaled medications and therapies (bronchodilators, aerosols, chest physiotherapy as indicated) and document patient responses.
- Monitor patient status through clinical signs, ABG results, capnography, and other metrics; adjust therapies as appropriate in collaboration with the care team.
- Document interventions and patient responses in Epic EMR; participate in daily rounds and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with required certifications and qualifications; maintain readiness for weekend shifts, while noting no on-call requirements; work with a team in a teaching hospital environment.
Requirements
- Active RRT credential with license on file at time of submission; NBRC verification required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required; inpatient setting experience in adult ICU and general units preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 Night shifts; no float required; reliable transportation is recommended due to local area constraints
