- On-call and weekend rotation: typically 8a-12p on select weekends; on-call requirements noted
Responsibilities
- Perform and document general ultrasound exams with vascular components; adjust technique to optimize image quality
- Operate ultrasound equipment (including GE Logic E10 and Samsung WS80A systems) and position patients for optimal views
- Administer IV contrast injections when clinically indicated and within protocol; coordinate with radiology physicians
- Document findings in the EMR (Epic) and communicate results to radiologists and referring clinicians
- Collaborate with team members across radiology, fluoroscopy, and OR settings; float to multiple units as needed
- Maintain equipment, follow infection control policies, and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures
Requirements
- Certifications: ARDMS certification in AB or OB and RVT; ARRT radiology certification preferred; BLS required
- Experience: minimum 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience; vascular ultrasound experience required
- EMR: recent Epic experience (within the past 2 years)
- Licenses/Credentials: active ultrasound credentials as noted above
- Setting: ability to work in a hospital environment; 8-hour shifts; travel assignment
- Additional: reliable transportation required; public transit is not available in the area; on-call and weekend coverage as described
