• Orientation and credentialing: 8 hours non-billable orientation; credentialing tasks (CBC, DS, and lab work) completed within 72 hours of offer

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to alarms per unit protocol
• Administer prescribed cardiac medications and manage common cardiac drips (e.g., Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) with appropriate patient assessment and monitoring
• Assist with post-procedure care, including TR Band management when applicable, and support the initiation of Tikosyn or Sotalol as ordered
• Perform accurate patient assessments, document findings in the EPIC EMR, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiology and cath lab teams, and nursing leadership to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Float to other acute care units as needed; maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards

Requirements

• Licensed RN in Kansas; current BLS certification
• Telemetry experience: minimum 1 year recent telemetry; 2–5 years preferred
• Experience with TR Band management post-procedure; experience with cardiac drips (Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; weekend rotation every other week as required
• Credentialing must include CBC, DS, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• EMR experience with EPIC preferred
