About the role

Overview Registered Nurse – OR (CVOR) travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Atlanta, GA, United States. Start date 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Shift

10-hour daytime shifts across 4 days (0x4). This assignment includes call, weekends, and holidays with no block scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and other OR cases, supporting patient safety before, during, and after surgery.
  • Prepare the OR, maintain sterile techniques, and assist the surgical team with equipment, instrumentation, and patient positioning.
  • Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and communicate effectively with anesthesia and surgical staff.
  • Manage call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays, and coordinate with team for patient flow and turnover.
  • Utilize electronic systems (Outlook, Workday, Shift Wizard) and maintain proficiency with personal devices as required.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced CVOR environment with exposure to neuro and vascular procedures while adhering to standards and hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Valid RN license to practice in Georgia
  • OR/CVOR experience; level 1 trauma experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Ability to work 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week, with on-call coverage for weekends/holidays
  • Competence using Outlook, Workday, and Shift Wizard; must have own electronic device and know how to use it
  • Ability to operate effectively in a hospital OR setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
