About the role

The Medical Assistant will support healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and the administration of medications. They are also responsible for recording medical histories, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.

We are a FQHC, currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for an opening at our Bastrop ISD Community Health Center location. Position requires travel between sites and knowledge of pediatrics.

Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant with us, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive top-notch healthcare in a friendly and comfortable environment. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: · Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures, · Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately, · Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, · Perform administrative tasks, including managing patient records, and · Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Additionally, you will interact closely with patients, making them feel at ease while assisting with any concerns they may have.

Qualifications

Completion of a certified Medial Assistant program with phlebotomy, required, Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude towards patients, Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills, Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements
