Schedule: 2, 12 hour shifts per week; Night Shift
Location: Bloomington Hospital
Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating all consult, admission, transfer and/or pre-op activities.
- Responsible for traffic control of new patients to the facility by facilitating communication between providers.
- Additional duties may include (not limited to):
- Ensure that the team and call schedules are coordinated and communicated to all appropriate parties
- Coordinate weekend assignments and admission order
- Answer patient call line assisting patients and families with post discharge needs
- Assign new business to appropriate teams from overnight business and add assigned teams in Cerner
- Calculate daily census.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior experience working in an admitting, bed management, patient placement/throughput setting, including demographic and financial requirements of payers preferred.
- Requires the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with business partners.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all levels of staff; including physicians, hospital administration, patients, and nursing staff in a professional manner.
