Description Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a dependable, adaptable, and patient-focused Medical Assistant Float to support our specialty medical practices in the Naples area. This position will provide coverage and clinical support across multiple specialty offices as needed, working with various providers, clinical teams, and patient populations. The ideal candidate will be flexible, highly organized, and comfortable adapting to different office workflows and specialty-specific procedures. The Medical Assistant Float must be able to work collaboratively with multiple teams and provide consistent, high-quality patient care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Provide clinical support across multiple specialty medical offices as assigned. Adapt quickly to different providers, clinical teams, office workflows, and specialty-specific needs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, medication lists, and other relevant clinical information. Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures as directed. Perform clinical tasks within the scope of training, education, and applicable regulations. Prepare and clean examination rooms and maintain appropriate supplies and equipment. Assist with patient rooming, patient flow, and efficient movement throughout the office. Collect and document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Assist with referrals, orders, prior authorizations, and other clinical or administrative tasks as needed. Communicate effectively with patients, providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams. Provide compassionate and professional patient care across a variety of specialty settings. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, infection control procedures, and company policies. Maintain flexibility to travel between assigned Naples-area specialty locations as needed. Assist with coverage needs, including staff absences, increased patient volume, and other operational needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred or required based on position requirements. Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting required. Specialty medical practice experience preferred. Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures. Ability to work effectively with multiple providers and specialty teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments and priorities. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Must be dependable, professional, and comfortable traveling between assigned Naples specialty locations as needed. Bilingual skills are a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move throughout the workday. Ability to assist with patient care and perform clinical duties. Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods of time. Ability to occasionally lift and carry supplies and equipment.
