Support safe and efficient surgical procedures in the Labor and Delivery unit by preparing and maintaining a sterile field. Responsibilities include organizing instruments according to surgeon preference and assisting the surgical team during obstetric procedures.

One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our L&D Scrub Tech, you will be a central figure supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures within our Labor and Delivery unit, meticulously preparing and maintaining a sterile field.

You will play a vital role alongside the surgical team in ensuring the well-being of mothers and babies.Every day, you will expertly set up the sterile operating room, meticulously organize instruments and supplies according to surgeon preference cards, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during obstetric procedures.

You will also assist in maintaining supplies, perform accurate surgical counts, and ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and all safety protocols.To be successful in this role, you will combine exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of surgical instrumentation and sterile procedures, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach, and a collaborative spirit, dedicated to supporting positive outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Demonstrates intermediate or advanced skills in operating room technology and proficient knowledge of surgical procedures (as described in the unit skills checklists).

Demonstrates basic patient care skills, including, but not limited to hygiene, takes vital signs, weights, accurately, measures I&O, documents appropriately on designated forms and in computer; lifts, moves and transports patients, safely and positions infants using developmentally supportive knowledge.

Requirements
