About the role

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, and psychotherapy to diverse patient populations. They coordinate community referrals and offer expert consultation to staff within a military healthcare setting.

**Job Responsibilities and Specific Functions: **

The Healthcare Worker (HCW) will execute a range of specialized tasks, including but not limited to:

- **Coordination of Referrals

  • *
  • Facilitate connections to relevant community resources and government agencies to optimize patient services.

- **Psychosocial Assessment and Treatment Planning

  • *
  • Conduct independent assessments of patients' and families' psychosocial dynamics, formulating and implementing targeted treatment plans that leverage patients’ strengths and address their challenges, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

- **Diverse Psychosocial Interventions

  • *
  • Independently perform psychosocial evaluations and deliver therapeutic interventions to a broad spectrum of clients from varied socio-economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.

- **Clinical Knowledge Application

  • *
  • Employ knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment methodologies, encompassing both acute and chronic conditions, as well as understanding of pharmacological interventions and medical terminology.

- **Treatment Modalities Implementation

  • *
  • Apply various treatment strategies for individuals, families, and groups facing psychiatric, medical, and social challenges to achieve defined therapeutic objectives.

- **Psychotherapy Services

  • *
  • Provide counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups while adhering to licensing regulations.

- **Consultation to Staff

  • *
  • Offer expert consultation regarding the psychosocial needs of patients and the implications of psychosocial issues on healthcare delivery and treatment adherence.

- **Engagement in Professional Development Activities

  • *
  • Actively participate in peer review case discussions, research initiatives, and other relevant organizational activities at the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

- **Direct and Indirect Patient Services

  • *
  • Deliver comprehensive services to both inpatient and outpatient populations. - **Crisis
  • Intervention:*
  • Provide timely and effective crisis intervention as needed.

- **Public Speaking and Education

  • *
  • Responsively engage with military and community entities to fulfill requests for lectures and presentations, proactively identifying opportunities to deliver educational programs for service members and their families.

- **Resource Navigation

  • Act as a human services broker, utilizing clinical judgment and knowledge of local resources to facilitate information and referrals for patients and healthcare providers.

**Work Schedule

  • *
  • - Full-time, Monday through Friday, with shifts ranging from 8.5 to 10.5 hours between 6:00
  • AM and 8:00 PM. A 30-minute break is included. - No weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities.

**Minimum Qualifications: **

- **Education

  • *
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

- **Experience

  • *
  • Demonstrated clinical competency within the last two years in the specified clinical discipline relevant to the position.

- **Licensure

  • *
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker license.

- **Life Support Certification

  • *
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC.

- **Security Clearance

  • *
  • Ability to successfully pass a government background check/security clearance.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program and possess an active, unrestricted LCSW license. Additional requirements include current BLS certification and the ability to pass a government security clearance.
