About the role

Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Provide health teaching and advocacy while maintaining accurate medical records and supervising assistive personnel.

Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department in Murphysboro, Illinois. This travel assignment starts on 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks in a Critical Access Hospital setting. Night shifts (1900-0730) with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range is $1,754 to $1,839.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to determine physical, psychological, and spiritual needs; provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; document and adjust as patient conditions change
  • Deliver health teaching, counseling, and advocacy to promote optimum health and safeguard patient safety
  • Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking; recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record; support safety and quality by contributing to policy/procedure discussions
  • Supervise and delegate responsibilities to licensed practical nurses and/or unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate

Requirements

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred
  • Timely completion of required education, competencies, and licensure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department within a Critical Access Hospital setting
  • Availability to work nights and fulfill a 13-week travel assignment
