About the role

Provide prep and recovery care for adult and pediatric patients in procedural areas, including the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. Monitor and stabilize patients in the PACU/CVU while collaborating with anesthesia and cardiology teams to ensure safe disposition.

Overview Registered Nurse – PACU, Burlington, Vermont. Start date 08/24/2026 for a 16-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,203–$2,343. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide post-anesthesia care in PACU and CVU areas, including prep and recovery for procedural settings (Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology)
  • Monitor patient status: vitals, airway, pain management, and IV therapy; administer medications per orders
  • Document assessments and interventions in EPIC EMR; communicate changes with anesthesia and procedural teams
  • Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to the appropriate unit; support immediate post-procedure care and safety
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; participate in on-call coverage as required
  • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies to ensure patient safety

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience; recent prior experience in a large teaching facility (500+ beds) with trauma 1 exposure preferred
  • Prior experience prepping and recovering for procedural areas (Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology)
  • Adult and pediatric PACU experience
  • EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
  • On-call availability required
  • Prior travel experience preferred
