Provide basic clinical services and clerical support to the 8 Mountain ICU healthcare team. Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, transporting patients and specimens, and maintaining unit supplies and equipment.

As a clinical associate, you will provide basic clinical services to patients and clerical support to the unit health-care team.
Successful candidate MUST BE able to attend required orientation classes during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm for the first 2 weeks.
These classes are mandatory!
The Clinical Associate Welcomes and assists patients and visitors with registration.
May assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Coordinates patient flow into/out of area using department/unit specific software and Intranet.
Schedules patient therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
May review medical records for outstanding orders and notifies nurse of stat orders and medication changes.
Cleans unit-based equipment and gathers supplies needed to operate equipment between patients as needed.
Transports patients, supplies specimens and equipment within the facility.
May assist with chart audits.
May perform unit-based patient care tasks for patients.
May participate in the sitter process Interacts with patients, visitors, physicians, and other health professionals.
Answers incoming calls via telephone and patient call system.
Routes calls as needed and takes messages.
Provides scheduling coverage support for department/unit staff scheduling, including back up coverage.
Operates and maintains general office equipment.
Orders department/unit supplies and equipment and stocks/organizes supplies.
Serves as a resource for department/unit software system.
Monitors cleanliness of waiting and break rooms and performs safety/environmental rounds.
Assists with maintaining regulatory compliance in unit.
Education: High school graduate or GED.
$18.70 - $26.18 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
