The Monitor Technician performs continuous surveillance of multiple monitors to identify significant arrhythmias and signs of patient distress. They are responsible for reporting abnormal telemetry findings to nursing staff and ensuring equipment is in proper working order.

Join our team in a 24 bed unit staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (NAs), and monitor techs. This unit focuses on Pre & Post Cardiac Cath patients with 24 hr cardiac monitoring.
How you’ll contribute
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Tests equipment for proper working order.
Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
