Under the leadership of the Director and Assistant Director and the direct supervision of the RN, the certified nursing assistant will take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures for an assigned group of patients. Recognizes the importance of meeting customer expectations, and demonstrates a positive attitude and efficient use of resources, and performs related duties as necessary to fulfill the customer's needs. Performs duties according to the policy and procedures of CHOMP, Westland House, and Hospice of the Central Coast if applicable.
One year of experience as a nurse aide is preferred. Understanding of medical terminology is required.
Requires a State of California CNA certification and American Heart Association BLS certification. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with a preference for one year of nurse aide experience.
