Glens Falls Hospital is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team! The Operating Room provides a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and staff to provide optimum assistance to the surgeons in meeting the emergency, preventive and restorative health needs of the patients. Employees provide quality-conscious, competent and cost-effective care with respect for life and dignity. Procedures performed in the Operating Room Department include general, ENT, plastics, oral, thoracic, vascular, urological, orthopedic, pain management, obstetrical and gynecological operative and other invasive procedures.
In this position, you will be an important member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct patient care, delegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to others, and serves as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician.
