About the role

Promote the physical and mental health of clients with substance use disorders by applying nursing processes and monitoring medical services. Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to provide individualized care and maintain electronic medical records.

Salary Range

$26.00/hr. - $45.00/hr. - Based on years of experience, educational degree and licensing Schedule: 3 (12-hour) shifts/week, 7am to 7:30pm The Resource Recovery Center of Orange County is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to those suffering from Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders. Substance Use Disorders are chronic illnesses, and treatment provided is based upon the presenting needs of the individual. Our goal is to help individuals and families begin the physical, emotional and spiritual healing process by utilizing compassionate, encouraging and evidence-based practices. We ultimately strive to guide individuals, and their families, towards a goal of living life to its full potential-free from addiction. We are currently seeking for immediate hire: RN’s and LPN’s - The position promotes the physical and mental health of clients by applying the nursing processes. The position is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and has the goal of assisting residents to assume responsibility for their own health. The position coordinates and monitors medical services, in accordance with the requirements of regulatory agencies and in response to individual client need. Our nurses provide individualized care for the clients by ongoing monitoring, recording and reporting symptoms or changes in client’s condition. We use electronic medical records to provide high quality, safe client care. SKILLS: Computer skills Interpersonal skills Strong communications skills Critical thinking Detailed orientated Time management MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for RN: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing BLS certification (through American Heart Association) One (1) year of experience in nursing. New graduate will consider the right candidate Preferred, not required, two (2) years of nursing experience in Substance Abuse setting MINIMUM QUALIFIICATIONS for LPN: Diploma from a National League for Nursing accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration in good standing BLS certification (through American Heart Association) One (1) year of experience in nursing. New graduate will consider the right candidate Preferred, not required, two (2) years of nursing experience in Substance Abuse setting

Requirements

Requires a valid NY State RN or LPN license and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Candidates should have at least one year of nursing experience, though new graduates may be considered.
