Qualifications

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will be responsible to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to facilitate the physicians and other health practitioners work flow in the assessment and residential setting. Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep track of daily intakes and adding to patient roster
  • monitoring patients every day to ensure they are seen within standard of care. Daily schedules on excel sheet This requires watching emails for last minute intakes, assessment status, discharges, patient provider requests, PHP admissions, PHP discharges and routine appointments. Knowing provider capabilities- approximate time each provider takes with each type of visit. Create psychiatrist schedule- monitoring the psych consult log, creating his/her schedule, corresponding with provider often about schedule Helping providers each day with any last-minute schedule changes including cancellations and late additions. Attend treatment team via phone every morning to help answer any questions. Communication with nurses on changes for providers Create and maintain on call/ monthly provider schedule Assisting with communication with Medical Director and the providers Assisting with Performance Improvement chart audits - pick the charts for providers, create appropriate paperwork, fill in the sheet when completed by providers and run the data. Help manage provider charge sheets for Business office Managing provider availability, off days, holidays and PTO

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to inspire client confidence in the FRN Staff and the FRN Model of Treatment. Ability to consistently demonstrate through conduct and communications the stability required to effectively assist patients and their family members through the FRN Model of Treatment.Ability to build relationships with diverse individuals and groups. Understands need for and maintains appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with patients, residents, families, visitors, referral sources and all other contacts.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Must have general knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree of Certified Medical Assistant Certificate preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience in a medical assistant or similar role in a healthcare facility.
