Summary: Under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist and Imaging Leadership, the IR Technologist is responsible for the overall clinical operational execution of the IR service. IR technologists assist in a variety of specialty and complex interventional and diagnostic procedures with proficiency. Technologist orders and maintains supplies, operates radiologic equipment, and sets exposure parameters during interventional and diagnostic procedures according to state and federal radiation safety regulations following ALARA principles. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.
Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) And Program Graduate of formal accredited program in Radiologic Technology (required) Or College Degree - 2 year Radiology (required) College Degree - 4 year (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) CRT - California Radiologic Technologist License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required) RT-R - Rad Tech Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required) RHF - Rad Tech/Fluoroscopy License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required)
