About the role

The Surgery Coordinator is responsible for securing patient information and scheduling surgical procedures for the Vascular department. They also handle required documentation and coordinate coding information for business services.

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Surgery Coordinator to join Vascular! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary

Secures necessary patient information relating to the scheduling and/or processing of surgical procedures. Schedules surgeries and performs required procedures including documentation. Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations. Coordinates information provided for business services functions including CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding.

Work Schedule

Fulltime 1.0 fte. Monday-Friday 8

Required Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination

2 or more years related experience in a health care environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Medical terminology and CPT-4 coding knowledge required.

The incumbent must be able to proficiently operate the following

Typewriter or Word Processor, CRT, Printer, Telephone, Photocopier, Fax Machine, and 10-key Calculator.

Detail oriented individual with strong human relation and organizational skills.
