Responsibilities

include but are not limited to education, assessment, and triaging symptoms of radiation treatments for patients that the IU Health Bloomington and Bedford Cancer Radiation Centers. We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic candidate with availability Monday – Friday. Our centers are open 8am – 4:30pm typically, but hours may need to flex depending on patient census. The Bloomington and Bedford Cancer Radiation Centers have three treatment units, one CT for treatment planning, and one brachytherapy treatment unit. Our teams provide excellent care to cancer patients in the south-central region of Indiana. The IU Health Bloomington Cancer Radiation Center is located at 2620 W. Cota Drive, Bloomington, IN 47403 and the IU Health Bedford Cancer Radiation Center is located at 9149 SR-37 S, Bedford, IN 47421.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
