Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized OT plans focused on activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions and treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and progress.
• Document progress notes, goals, and outcomes in the patient record according to regulatory and facility policies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning, safety, and patient education.
• Instruct patients and families on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques to maximize independence and safety.
• Adhere to infection control, privacy, and safety guidelines while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered care environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment in the Albuquerque area.
