Responsibilities

  • Perform general ultrasound exams and echocardiography as assigned, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, optimize image quality, and adjust settings for superior studies
  • Position and prepare patients, explain procedures, and monitor for patient well-being during imaging
  • Document findings in the EPIC EMR and ensure timely transmission of images and preliminary results to clinicians
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiology and imaging teams, and other staff to coordinate care and communicate urgent findings
  • Maintain equipment, manage daily case volume (including 7–8 Echo studies daily), and adhere to department protocols and safety standards

Requirements

  • RDCS or CCI certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
  • EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
  • Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography and handle high-volume daily cases (Echo focus with 7–8 cases daily)
