The Patient Care Technician provides hands-on patient care, assists with clinical procedures, and monitors vital signs under the direction of licensed professionals. They are responsible for documenting patient status and supporting safe unit operations through personal care and mobility assistance.

SHIFT: days 7A-7P or nights 7P-7A, 36 hours per week, every third weekend, holiday rotation Under the direction of a licensed professional, the Patient Care Technician delivers hands-on patient care and comfort, assists with clinical procedures and technical tasks, and accurately observes, reports, and documents patient status. The role supports safe, efficient unit operations by focusing on personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration, elimination, and prevention of complications, while preparing patients and environments for procedures. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, the PCT provides compassionate, patient- and family-centered support across diverse care settings to promote quality outcomes and a positive experience. Graduate of high school or equivalent.
Minimum of 75-hour nurse aide course.
Validation Code of “Eligible” status by the Director Care Worker Registry.
Basic computer/typing skills.
Medical Terminology course strongly recommended.Experience:
Previous healthcare experience preferred.License(s)/Certification(s):
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Mandatory Reporter certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire.
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Candidates must be high school graduates who have completed a minimum 75-hour nurse aide course and hold an eligible status in the Care Worker Registry. Current BLS and Mandatory Reporter certifications are required or must be obtained within three months of hire.
