Position Summary

Provides eligibility and benefits assessment, referral, and follow-up services to CC clients. Area of focus is on Ryan White eligibility screening and enrollment (e.g. RWA CERV, RWA HIA, and RWB LA HAP), coordination of insurance benefits with Ryan White programs, and enrollment into health insurance (e.g. Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare, V.A., etc.). Maintains a close working relationship with direct supervisor, participates in active supervision and remains receptive to feedback on professional development to support high quality service provision. Duties and Responsibilities

Fully supports CrescentCare open access initiatives including same-day access to services Assesses client’s service needs related to public and private benefits enabling access to medical care and medications Demonstrate proficiency in applying for benefits, including, but not limited to RWA CERV, RWB LA HAP, Medicaid, Marketplace, Medicare, and V.A. Demonstrate proficiency in following-up on or appealing denial of aforementioned benefits, including coordination of benefits as needed Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with submission and follow-up of eligible bills to RWA HIA and RWB LA HAP Submits well-written and complete documentation Develop and maintain strong working relationships with and routinely consult with case managers, healthcare providers, psychiatrists, and Patient Access staff within CrescentCare so as to ensure smooth service transitions and adequate access to benefits for clients Responsible for ensuring clarity on program expectations and standards, including but not limited to record keeping and documentation, behavioral expectations, work quality and productivity expectations, effective teamwork, and client-centered ethical practice Responsible for remaining receptive to coaching and/or participating in disciplinary action when expectations and standards are not met Attends all meetings and trainings as directed by supervisor Other duties as assigned by supervisors Qualifications The minimum education level required for the position is a HS diploma or its equivalent (GED, Hi/Set, etc.) 1-2 years preferred experience in a clerical role (ex. office administration, patient registration, front desk or clinic operations, etc.) Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required There is no required professional licensure for this position Minimum age of 21 Within 90-days of hire, complete Passport, ACA Certified Application Counselor, and Medicaid Application Center Representative training Total Compensation Package We believe the investment we make in our staff is among the most important. Requirements

A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of clerical experience preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and complete specific certifications within 90 days of hire.
