General Purpose of Job: Operates C-arm x-ray equipment during interventional pain management procedures as well as assisting with nursing care of the patient. Essential Duties: This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position. Accurate performance of C-arm procedures. Monitors C-arm performance and reports malfunctions to the Department Manager and Clinical Engineering. Monitors compliance of all Associates and physicians with radiology safety standards including radiation protection guidelines and monitoring. Assists in the care of patients as directed by a Registered Nurse. Responsible for cleaning, restocking, and ordering as directed. Assists with the flow of patients from the check-in to discharge. Assist with office functions. Interacts with other departments to assure continuity of care. Job Requirements Work Experience
One-year interventional pain management experience. Education
Graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
Registered under the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certified. Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Skilled in using a variety of medical and nursing equipment.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Possesses interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other health system Associates.
Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient served in the Sparrow Pain Management Center.
