The RN Clinic is responsible for providing primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation.

Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses condition.

Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.

Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.

Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act.

Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.

Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of conditions.

Documents patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.

Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.

Tracks quality assurance data and monitors for acute and chronic care management.

Maintains medical supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; and stocking exam rooms May travel to offsite offices for Outreach Clinic support based on clinic needs.

Desired Skills: Knowledge of state laws on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures Time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination skills Ability to initiating appropriate crisis intervention and emergency response.

Ability to triage patients in person and on the phone Ability to analyze options, counsel patients and families about choices, and make referrals to other providers and resources Ability to engage clients and families in the development and implementation of a care plan Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results Here is What You Need: Wyoming Registered Nurse (RN) License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC) Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within 14 calendar days of start date Cheyenne Cardiology, Nephrology Clinic, Podiatry, and Vascular and CT Clinic Only: Valid USA driver’s license Must have clean driving record that follows Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s driving guidelines Nice to Have: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing Two (2) or more years of nursing experience in a clinic setting Cardiac/vascular experience About Cheyenne Regional: Cheyenne Regional Medical Center was founded in 1867 as a tent hospital by the Union Pacific Railroad to treat workers injured while building the transcontinental railroad.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Wyoming Registered Nurse license or eNLC and a valid USA driver's license with a clean record. A bachelor's degree in nursing and at least two years of clinic experience, specifically in cardiac or vascular care, are preferred.
