The Dietitian is responsible for directing and implementing the nutritional aspects of the patient care. The Dietitian plans, directs and coordinates the nutritional care services of the dialysis unit and ensures compliance with Federal, State and local regulatory agencies with reference to the nutritional care aspects of patient care. The Dietitian serves as a member of the Dialysis Patient Care Management team.
Responsible to: Medical Director, Nurse Manager and or Clinical Administrator
Position Supervised: Dietetic Technician, Registered
Candidates must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. A minimum of one year of professional experience in clinical nutrition is required.
