The MRI Technologist is responsible for creating patient-specific diagnostic images while maintaining established standards of practice and patient care. Duties include performing examinations, ensuring patient safety, and training new employees and students.
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team at our Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN!
This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the overnight shift, Monday through Friday from 11:30PM - 8AM with weekends as needed. *If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 11pm – 7am, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $8.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials.
This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.
The MRI Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians by creating patient specific diagnostic images.
Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care supplies and equipment.
Maintains patient care Performs examinations Identifies relevant data from images accurately Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional. Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness Documents patient information Ensures proper film identification on all images Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging Accurate film marking and jacket preparation Achieves quality diagnostic images by use of proper positioning of patients and correct operation of equipment. Performs training and education duties Participates in the orientation of new employees. Responsible for the training of students Participates in the training of health care professionals and new employees. Maintains equipment Correctly operates equipment Optimizes use of equipment Understands the structure visualized and its significance
Required Qualifications ARRT Certification Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience Meet MRI Safety Screen requirements MRI Certification within 1-1/2 Yrs

Candidates must hold ARRT Certification and Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. One year of experience and MRI Certification within 1.5 years are preferred.
