The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care.
The Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. Minimum Education Required: 2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience desired. Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio licensure or interim permit. Previous surgical center experience preferred.
We have 4 ORs and 4 Endoscopy Rooms. We have 8 services in our OR department: Plastics, Colorectal, Urology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, OB/GYN, GYN, and Uro/GYN. In our Endoscopy suite, we do colonoscopies, EGDs, and other specialty procedures within the department. We have a staff of RN’s, surgical technicians, PCA’s, and endoscopy technicians. Pre-op and Post-op cover both surgical and endoscopy patients.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited registered nursing school with current Ohio licensure or an interim permit. A 2-year college degree is required, though a Bachelor's degree and previous surgical center experience are preferred.
