Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Post Partum, NICU (LDRP) Registered Nurse The LDRP/NICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to women and their families throughout the childbirth continuum, including labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and Level II neonatal care.
Embracing the LDRP model of care, the RN ensures a seamless and supportive experience from labor through postpartum, fostering a strong mother-baby dyad (mother-baby pair).
The LDRP - RN demonstrates clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, compassion, and effective communication to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and newborns.
LDRP RN Roles and Responsibilities: Assessment: Conducts comprehensive assessments of the laboring mother, including fetal monitoring, pain management, and maternal vital signs.
Assesses newborns immediately after birth, ensuring proper identification, Apgar scoring, and initiation of necessary care.
Care Planning: Develops individualized care plans based on patient assessments and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
