401(k) Competitive salary Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job Overview: AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to provide high-level laboratory testing and analysis in support of patient care at Keesler Blood Donor Center, Keesler AFB, Mississippi. The technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of complex diagnostic procedures using both automated and manual techniques in areas such as chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular biology, and more. The MLT ensures accurate, timely test results to aid medical providers in diagnosing and managing patient conditions.
Conduct a full range of lab procedures (automated and manual) in chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, bacteriology, and immunohematology. Assess specimen suitability and maintain physiological integrity during testing. Prepare reagents and control materials; calibrate and maintain instruments. Interpret malfunctions, conduct repairs, and troubleshoot lab equipment. Ensure proper documentation of analytical results and quality assurance data. Implement and maintain quality control measures on equipment and testing materials.
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited medical technology program and current ASCP or AMT certification. Candidates must have at least one year of experience as an MLT within the last two years and hold U.S. citizenship.
