About the role

Perform radiographic procedures and analyze images to support medical diagnoses across various patient demographics. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine protocols and assist in training students and other technologists.

Franciscan Health Munster Campus 701 Superior Ave Munster, Indiana 46321 The Imaging Technologist I is responsible for performing radiographic procedures, ionizing radiation to render optimum images, which are used to support diagnoses and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions.

This position conducts preliminary analysis on images and collaborates with doctors and other Healthcare professionals to interpret images.

This position assists with training students and technologists and performs injection procedures.

The Imaging Technologist I is required to be qualified to care for infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

The Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they understand procedures and are comfortable during procedures.

Qualifications

Preferred Associate's Degree in Radiology Required Certificate in Radiology Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Radiology Student Permit - Radiology Student Permit As required by state State Radiographer Operator License - State Licensing Board As required by state Radiography (ARRT-R) - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Indiana within 180 days TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 20% EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law. Requirements

Requires a certificate in Radiology, BLS certification, and a State Radiographer Operator License. An Associate's Degree in Radiology is preferred, and ARRT-R certification is required within 180 days.
