RN provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
Essential Functions
Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
Documents patient care provided.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a current Arizona or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
BCLS required.
ACLS, PALS, HAZMAT and Handle with Care certifications are preferred.
One year of experience preferred
