About the role

The nurse provides virtual prenatal education and support to expectant mothers, reviewing health histories and answering pregnancy-related questions. They guide patients through the beginning of their prenatal journey and connect them with necessary resources and services.

Join our OBGYN clinic as a Pregnancy Intake Nurse, where you'll make a meaningful impact by guiding expectant mothers through the beginning of their prenatal journey.

In this hybrid role, you'll provide patient education, review health histories, and connect patients with valuable resources all while enjoying the flexibility to work remotely or in-office based on available space.

As part of a collaborative care team, you'll help ensure patients feel informed, supported, and connected from day one.

This is a .6 FTE position (24 hours weekly).

Qualifications

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Exceptions

Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction. Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
