Perform patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse for critically ill patients across all age groups. Provide sub-acute care and execute complex treatments and detailed instructions as part of the nursing team.
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse performs those patient care activities for which the/she has been prepared within the scope of the law and functions as in integral part of the nursing team. Works with the registered nurse in caring for critically ill patients; and those requiring detailed instruction, or complex treatments. These may include the following - newborn, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Self-directed in providing sub-acute care or performing routine duties.
Current registration with New Jersey State Board of Nursing, American Heart Association BLS required.
American Heart Association ACLS recommended within one (1) year.
4 hours of stroke education required annually.
