Atrium Health’s Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI) is one of the largest Musculoskeletal programs in the country. We maintain an extensive network of physicians within the institute spanning spine, orthopedics, primary care sports medicine, physical medicine, and rehabilitation.

This APP will support Surgical physicians and function as an integrated member of the Orthopedic Surgical care team, delivering care across operative, perioperative, and clinic environments.

  • Monday through
  • Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Responsibilities include: Surgical first assist Potential office clinic coverage No call, weekends or holiday coverage Evaluate and manage orthopedic conditions and injuries Support perioperative patient management and surgical coordination Perform procedures within scope including splinting, bracing, casting, injections/aspirations, and wound care Interpret diagnostic imaging and collaborate on treatment planning

Qualifications

Licensed or eligible to practice in North Carolina as:

  • Physician Assistant
  • Graduate from an accredited PA or Acute Care NP program
  • National board certification required
  • DEA license required or eligible
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority through appropriate NC governing board
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration greater than 90 days from start date Must have APP experience (minimum of two years) in one of the following: Urgent Care Emergency Medicine Orthopedics

Requirements

Candidates must be a board-certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP with a valid NC license and DEA license. A minimum of two years of experience in Orthopedics, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine is required.
