Provide essential personal care services to hospice patients, including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Responsibilities also include positioning patients for comfort and assisting with prescribed exercises.

This position offers competitive pay, generous benefits, and supportive work environment. We are currently seeking a Hospice Aide to provide personal care services to our hospice patients.

Schedule

  • Per diem; 8:30am - 5:00pm; must be available at least 6 shifts per month
  • Location: Contra Costa County & some areas of Alameda County with occasional coverage to San Mateo County
  • *must have hha license
  • Hope Hospice follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Assist patient in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair as needed. Assist patient in and out of bed and with ambulation. Turn patient in bed, position for comfort, and change bed linen. Assist with prescribed exercises as directed.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.

  • Registrations: Current certification to practice as a Home Health Aide in the State of California. Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.

Requirements

Must possess a current Home Health Aide (HHA) license in the State of California and a valid driver's license with insurance. A high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved HHA training program are required.
