Phlebotomist – Emergency Department Follows established procedures for lab tests including tests with special collection requirements (lactic acid, ammonia, ETOH, etc).
Follows policy for drawing patients with IVs Collaborates with laboratory for unusual send out lab test collection procedures.
Properly identifies specimens and accurately documents specimen collection times using PPID/PAID Understands and follows procedures to care for patients who experience adverse reactions from phlebotomy.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Manager or Director within scope
