Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for adult Med/Surg patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive care plan aligned with hospital standards.
- Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and respond to changes in clinical status; document in EPIC EMR and communicate findings to the care team.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate collaborative care planning; participate in care conferences and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Supervise and coordinate with LNA staff; support Nurse Lead and House Supervisor to maintain safe and efficient patient care delivery; ensure patient safety and adherence to patient ratios (6:1 maximum).
- Maintain infection control practices, accurate documentation, and adherence to evidence-based nursing standards in a fast-paced Med Surg setting.
- Recognize deteriorating conditions and escalate promptly to the charge nurse; participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a Compact state license; license must be uploaded with the traveler profile.
- New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency license/registration certificate required up front for temporary RN staffing; references NH OPLC requirements.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) and ACLS active and current. - 3+ years of current Med/Surg nursing experience; CHARGE experience required; EPIC EMR experience highly preferred.
- Must have own vehicle; permanent address must be included in profile.
- RTO requests must be included at the time of submission and verified; no more than 5 days requested; scheduling requests after offer may be rescinded.
- Non-local traveler; local NH travelers are not eligible for this need.
- Availability to work the 7:00 PM–7:30 AM shift; 36 hours per week; ability to meet 6:1 patient ratio in a Med/Surg unit.
