Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the CCU, including monitoring hemodynamics and responding to changes in patient condition
  • Manage ventilated patients, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic therapies as part of the CCU care plan
  • Administer medications, perform frequent neuro assessments, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
  • Participate in unit rounding, escalation of urgent concerns, and ensure patient safety during transitions of care
  • Floats to PCU as needed to support staffing and patient acuity, per unit

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts RN license; license must be uploaded to profile
  • Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) required and uploaded
  • Minimum 2 years of current CCU/critical care nursing experience
  • Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • Willingness to float to PCU as needed; Ventilation, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring experience required
  • Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred; TNCC preferred; BSN preferred
  • Traveler must have own vehicle
