About the role

  • Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) |
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 per week |
  • Weekly pay: $1,984–$2,126 per week |
  • Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (travel - temporary assignment)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct segments of physical therapy treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, aligning with department objectives.
  • Conduct patient evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans using appropriate clinical techniques and tools.
  • Provide therapy interventions following established protocols and adjust as needed; establish discharge plans and communicate them to the appropriate parties.
  • Collaborate as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups; participate in coordination with care teams.
  • Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines; supervise assigned PT assistants and support staff as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree; required (only if the license was obtained on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent).
  • Physical Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice; required.
  • CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy; required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and must be at least 21 years of age; required.
  • At least two years of recent field experience; current BLS certification; and a current nursing license per the state of assignment.
