Overview Registered Nurse - ER | Templeton, CA, United States | Start August 3, 2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $1,750–$1,814 per week | 36 guaranteed hours | Shift: 3x12 Nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting

Responsibilities

  • Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department.
  • Monitor vital signs, laboratory data, and clinical status; recognize signs of deterioration and respond to emergencies following protocols.
  • Administer and chart medications accurately using the hospital’s policies and the patient’s six rights; collaborate on analgesia and sedation plans as appropriate.
  • Communicate clear, concise reports to the care team; document care in the electronic health record (Cerner) and coordinate discharge planning with inpatient units and social work.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to deliver timely, evidence-based care; support patient and family education.
  • Adhere to infection control guidelines, maintain patient privacy, and contribute to a positive, safe unit environment.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an approved nursing program; eligible for RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire; NIHSS certification; Cerner experience.
  • Experience: One year of recent acute care RN experience.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced ER setting, manage multiple high-acuity patients, and document accurately and promptly.
