Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions
  • Perform OT evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans; use appropriate clinical techniques and tools
  • Provide therapy interventions following established protocols; monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed
  • Serve as a co-leader in interdisciplinary care, coordinating with the team for patient groups and discharge planning
  • Develop comprehensive discharge and home-care plans; ensure clear communication with patients, families, and care teammates
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines; supervise assigned OT assistants as appropriate

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) – Required
  • Active Occupational Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice – Required
  • CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor – Required
  • Valid Driver’s License and must be at least 21 years of age – Required
  • At least two years of recent experience in the field – Required
  • Home health experience is preferable but not required; ability to work in an acute care setting
