Overview Registered Nurse - NICU in Lodi, California for a travel, temporary assignment at a short-term acute care hospital. Start date: 08/24/2026. 13-week contract with guaranteed hours. Weekly pay: $1,694 to $1,776.

Shift

7:00 AM–7:00 PM (Day shift), 12-hour shifts. Education and experience requirements are aligned with NICU practice, with a focus on neonatal care in an acute setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients or an assigned group of patients using the nursing process and established standards.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines; apply critical thinking and clinical judgment.
  • Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and develop plans of care to meet patient outcomes; implement and evaluate progress.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and patient-centered care; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide patient and family education; delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of the healthcare team; maintain a safe, clean, and individualized NICU environment.
  • Maintain professional standards and participate in ongoing learning opportunities to support neonatal care best practices.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required
  • BSN degree preferred
  • Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the field; acute care experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a NICU setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
