Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
  • Collect relevant data, analyze assessment findings, and determine diagnoses and care needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care; coordinate care delivery with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate appropriately.
  • Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain a safe, healing environment; document care, progress, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
  • Collaborate with the care team during rounds; communicate changes in patient status promptly.
  • Perform ancillary duties as needed while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.

Requirements

  • Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPR certification acceptable per policy.
  • Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Essential skills: Ability to work in an acute care setting, manage high-acuity patients, and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other: Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with facility policies and credentialing requirements.
