Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Travel) Lodi, CA, United States Start date: August 17, 2026 Duration: 8 weeks Weekly pay: $2,141 to $2,245 per week Guaranteed hours: 48 hours per week Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3x12-hour shifts Setting: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for ER patients following established standards and the nursing process
  • Assess patients, monitor conditions, recognize changes in status, and communicate findings to the care team
  • Administer medications and therapies, manage IVs, and document interventions accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians, bedside teams, and ancillary staff to coordinate timely, high-quality care
  • Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; delegate tasks as appropriate
  • Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and safety initiatives to ensure continuous, compassionate care

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • At least two years of recent experience in ER or acute care settings
  • BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) specific to the organization’s policy
  • Experience with EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems required
  • Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
